"I'll See You Again: A Tribute to Vince Maggio"

Professor Vince Maggio cared first and foremost about the music. He encouraged listening, groove and interaction. The depth of knowledge and wisdom he possessed was rare in an educator, as was his willingness to share it with us, his students.

We, The Lost Melody (pianist Joe Davidian, bassist Jamie Ousley & drummer Austin McMahon), met at the University of Miami and studied in various settings under Professor Maggio. We benefitted individually and collectively by his unbending standards, which pushed and inspired us to become the musicians we are today. Because of him, we strive for swing. Because of him, we put melody first. Because of him, we listen and converse. So it is with great respect, humility and love that The Lost Melody offers this new album as an expression of gratitude For Vince.
